Three times a year an inter-agency GIS Jour fixe takes place in the agricultural sector to maintain a permanent exchange of knowledge, initiate and coordinate projects for all topics with direct or indirect spatial reference. Host for the date from 19. to 20.06.2023 was the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein. It was possible to participate both physically on site and via Zoom. BAB was represented on site by five people.
Topics discussed included geospatial base data, REST GDI agriculture, land use and sealing, and Open Government Data (OGD).
The presence on site for the jour fixe was used to integrate a detailed institute tour into the daily routine. Since the HBLFA with its various test series and field studies works extremely close to practice, there were accordingly many opportunities to present projects and work equipment.
The monitoring of the test plots takes place weekly, apart from the destructive analysis (harvest), by means of drone and field spectrometer. The specially purchased equipment is designed to simulate sentinel data for small-scale study areas with the sensors to ensure the best possible comparability with other studies based on sentinel data.
